Presence

Seek Justice. Love Mercy. Live Humbly.

Sun a.m.

Presence meets at the Arts Project (203 Dundas) at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

All are welcome to join us. Our gatherings are very informal and relaxed. Come as you are. Our goal is to learn from one another, not to try to put on a show.

If you are interested in visiting or stopping by, here is how to find us:

By Bus (London Transit)

  • The Arts Project is easily accessible via most bus routes in the city (see routes).

Parking

  • Metered parking in downtown London is free on Sundays.
  • Free parking is also available on Sundays at the Galleria Mall (355 Wellington St), which is a short walk away from the Arts Project.
  • Pay-parking is also readily available all around the downtown core, as well as at Covent Garden Market (130 King St).

Generally, this is what happens on a Sunday:

  • Let’s be honest: it all starts with fairly traded coffee!
  • We sing a few songs, reflecting on the mystery and history of faith (here’s some thoughts about worship).
  • We have celebrate the Eucharist (communion, or the Lord’s Supper) each week, a time of reflection, quietness, and meditation.
  • A presentation is made about a passage of scripture or story from our lineage of faith. This communiqué usually provided by James Shelley, our resident historian, researcher and teacher, although very often other community members present as well. (You can listen to these talks online via the podcast.)
  • Each week we have an open forum discussion, at which everyone has the opportunity to ask questions, offer variant points of view, and learn from one another. Most people consider this the real meat and potatoes of Presence!
  • And then we have a light lunch together… and sit around and chat and drink more coffee.
